NintyBuzz Switched Up!

Just in time for second Christmas (aka E3) we at Nintybuzz have completely redesigned the site and forums for a much more modern look, including a smoother browsing experience. Not only that, but we have a brand new newsletter system in place rather than that archaic plain text one, which used to add strain on the server. Oh, now you can also subscribe and unsubscribe at any time too… no more sending me replies and then waiting a week to unsubscribe.

Most of the development for the new look has been completed, though there are still bits and pieces that may need to be fixed. So if you encounter any problems, do not worry too much, just let us know and we’ll try to fix it ASAP. Also, if you have any other general feedback on the site and forums, then feel free to send it our way.

Keep on buzzin’ everyone!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

Nintendo Announces E3 2017 Plans

Hey guys with E3 right around the corner Nintendo has released some details on their portion of the show. Get ready because here comes Super Mario Odyssey! Which of course is a Nintendo Switch exclusive. We will also be getting to see more of ARMS and Splatoon 2. Both titles will have tournaments, Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational on the 13th of June and the 2017 ARMS Open Invitational on the 14th. Finally we get another Nintendo Tree House live that will showcase upcoming games for the 3DS/2DS and The Switch.

Hopefully Nintendo have plenty more surprises up their sleeves when E3 rolls up. Maybe we’ll finally get a brand new Metroid, or perhaps they’ll finally unveil the Switch’s Virtual Console plan. Be sure to check back for the latest news from Nintendo’s E3, and don’t forget to check out the full press release after the break!

The Big E3 Round Up [Strong Language]

It’s happened again, the big corporate circle jerk that is E3, and all consumers can do is hope a bit of errant spunk flies from the circle and pleases them with a bit of salty distraction from the inexorable journey to the grave.
Maybe it’s just that I’ve turned incredibly cynical over the years of exposure to the games industry’s shit but I find it very difficult to be in any way excited for E3 since almost everything shown is either years off, hyped to the balls and could never live up to it or will look considerably more shit that in the carefully choreographed “gameplay trailer”. And even as the first conference started I felt myself thinking “Oh why did I say I’d do this.” A feeling that is never a positive thing, nor one that abated throughout the whole ordeal.
Nevertheless, here I am on the other side of the conferences feeling a mix of relief and mild disappointment that I wasn’t proven wrong in my thoughts. So for what it’s worth, here is my round up of the E3 conferences and my thoughts on the shit that it’s spawned (that may have given the game away…)

Nintendo at E3 2016 Video Blowout

Yesterday was a long day, and after being overwhelmed by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and making the seemingly bad choice of  catching up with Wayward Pines before bed, I am fully now rested and am able to share more goodies from Nintendo at E3… from other people, who were actually at E3.

Beyond the door to the wilds (i.e. after the break), there are various videos from Nintendo’s bustling E3 day. Be prepared for gameplay, booth tours, Zelda galore, all you have to do is click read more!

The Community’s Fondest E3 Memories

Nintendo’s E3 event is nearly upon us, but before we begin, we thought we would look back at the many years of E3 and pick out our fondest. We’ve had our ups, our downs, and the right out bizarre, but we all have our favourite moments.

We asked our community, and they answered, and some of them were also lucky enough to win some Amiibo figures. Check out some of our fondest E3 memories after the break!
