1,000 Levels and Counting: StephenPlays Reaches Morning Mario Milestone

Sometimes I wonder: have we spent more hours playing the Super Mario Maker franchise or watching others do it for us?

In the case of much of YouTuber Stephen Georg’s fanbase, the answer is probably the latter. For almost five years, thousands of viewers have been able to watch an episode of Morning Mario, Stephen’s flagship 6 a.m. EST series, showcase an awesome Super Mario Maker level every weekday morning. It’s a formula that’s stood the test of time for half of a decade, and in an exclusive interview, he told us the series’ momentum is showing no signs of stopping!

I’ve been playing Nintendo games since I was 3 years old, and my earliest memory is watching my dad play Super Mario 64.
Since then, I’ve become as big of a fan as you might imagine: YouTube video projects, fan fiction, owning just about every amiibo — you name it!
I’m also a stalwart defender of underappreciated games like Skyward Sword, Other M, Super Paper Mario, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Zero and more. I love to see passion in a gaming product, and my desire on this site is to share a similar passion in what I write.

The Case for Persona 5 on Switch

As of late, alongside dabbling in island life with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I have been delving deep into the hearts of criminals to change their evil ways in Persona 5 Royal on Playstation 4. It’s an incredibly meaty game, having already spent over 100 hours in before I’ve even reached its climax, and I would love to share the experience with more people. But there’s just one problem, it’s platform specific to Playstation right now. If you’re reading on this site, there’s no doubt that you definitely have a Switch but probably not a PS4. It seems baffling that Atlus seems to be ignoring the platform outside of smaller titles or the Nintendo published Tokyo Mirage Sessions, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a demand for Persona 5 and other Atlus titles on the platform. So let’s look into the matter, what factors are there in Persona’s favour and what exactly could it be holding it back?

Long time fan of Nintendo and games in general, I always lean on the quirkier and unique sides of things in particular. It all started when I was lucky enough to get a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow for my tenth birthday and it’s been going strong ever since. I’ve always had a need to get my voice heard and share anything I find interesting with the world.

NintyBeats – April 2020

The COVID-19 crisis has dampened our spirits one way or another. Lately, I’ve been needing music to energize and inspire me to accomplish the new challenges associated with this pandemic. Thankfully, there are a lot of really great Nintendo music tracks that make feel like I can take on any task ahead.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Thoughts and Speculation

With the newest Nintendo Direct Mini last week, which shadow dropped and took us all by surprise, we finally have a more definitive (pun coincidental) look at the much awaited remaster for 2010-12’s Xenoblade Chronicles. As a brief catchup for those unaware, Xenoblade Chronicles is a Wii game from Xenosaga/Baten Kaitos developer Monolith Soft that gained a major fan following after its regionally convoluted release in western territories, initially being localised for Europe only and eventually seeing a US release. Now it’s been remastered for the Switch in glorious high definition. The remaster/remake was revealed as the surprise “one more thing” in September 2019’s Nintendo Direct. So now that you’re caught up a little, let’s get to business with what we know so far!

Heads up! This article will be going into deep spoiler territory for Xenoblade Chronicles, as well as discussing late story elements from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. You have been warned.

Darren’s Animal Crossing Memory Walk

I first heard about the Animal Crossing franchise from the original Nintendo Official Magazine (NOM) in the UK, which was advertising the GameCube Animal Crossing title. The series didn’t initially interest me, and it wasn’t until a friend of mine showed me his American copy of Animal Crossing: Wild World on his DS Lite, that my attention for the series piqued. There was just something appealing about the idea of a chilled and relaxed game, where you collect fish and bugs and play with friends in person and online. At the time, the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection was still quite new, and I loved the idea of playing with friends across the world.

Departing Memories of Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Only days remain until the departure gate opens for Animal Crossing New Horizons. Not too long until we move away from our lovely towns from our fabulous neighbours. We have many fond memories of turning over a New Leaf on the Nintendo 3DS, so we are taking this opportunity to tell them before our New Horizons induced self isolation.

Check them out after the break!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
