Nintendo World Championships and more at E3

Yes, I know we are a bit late on this one, but after 25 years (I wasn’t even born back then) Nintendo are bringing back the Nintendo World Championships to coincide with their E3 presence. For the weeks leading up to E3 2015, Nintendo will be holding regional evens in North America for fans to compete to become the Nintendo World Champion 2015 at the Nokia Theatre, LA on the 14th June.

Not only will they have the Nintendo World Championships (which seems to have no love for other countries) but we can also expect to see their Digital Event, Treehouse Live streams and demos of Mario Maker at Best Buy locations.

Check out the entire press release after the break!

FAN CONCEPT – Challenger Approaching Competition

Bumped to the top for reminder!

Not too long ago, it was announced that Nintendo will be listening to the many Smash fans to help determine future DLC fighter additions to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U via an online ballot. To celebrate this wondrous occasion we at NintyBuzz want to put your imagination to the test once again, however instead of creating a fan-made Mario Kart 8 track, you’ll be thinking up your very own fighter pack for Smash Bros. If you create a submission that really stands out, then you could win an Amiibo of your choice.

Find out all the details of this smashing competition after the break!

Scheduling

So, the reboot has been a bit slow but we are gradually getting there. I have decided to give myself a sort of schedule to try and go so that we look somewhat active!

First of all, I want to try and publish at least one new review every month, but trying to push for two or, if I’m devious, three! I plan for NintyTalk to air every fortnight or, if news has been very slow, every month. Me and Chris should hopefully have a new episode up sometime next week, we have lots to talk about. I also plan to bring back NintyBeats very soon, though at the moment I am also thinking that this should be a fortnightly feature. Finally, there will also be several one off articles being published soon. As soon as Sam has escaped the terror that is University, he will start posting several one-offs. He told me he has some good ideas but refused to divulge into much detail!

Also, remember that E3 is slowly rearing its face, which means we will have even more topics to talk about, and maybe even some more competitions/giveaways if I have a stable income by then!

Hopefully, this should give you delightful readers an idea of what to expect over the following several weeks. Bear in mind I do still have College and deadlines for assignments, but come E3, I will be finished with College for good so I’ll have even more time for NintyBuzz.

Before I go, if you are interested with helping out with writing articles and reviews, visit the Work for Us page and pop us an email!

Happy Buzzing!

NintyTalk – Buzzing Revival

Well, we have worked hard (mostly) over the weekend for this and we are now ready to reveal… well, what we have been working on, obviously!

Anywho, we are happy to announce NintyTalk! NintyTalk is a brand new feature in which we will have a spontaneous discussion on recent Nintendo and other gaming news. As this is still very early days, so we may be a bit rusty (heck, we’re very rusty) but hopefully, the more we do, the more we should improve.

Now, in this instalment of NintyTalk, we’ll be discussing the NintyBuzz revival, Xenoblade X Mini-Direct, Smash Bros. DLC, Mario Kart DLC, Zelda Wii U Delay and Project Ukulele!

Please tell us what you think of this episode and how we could improve. See you next time!

REVIEW – Mario Party 10

Some of you may be convinced that I ate a Poisonous Mushroom as I recently decided to purchase the digital version of Mario Party 10, and I’ll be honest, half of me is thinking I had a nibble at that aforementioned shroom. I’ve been able to have a good play around with it, so let us get on with the review. I think the easiest way to do this, is to separate the good from the bad, so let us begin with the good (yes, there are still good factors in a Mario Party title) right after the break!

NOTE – A lot of the review contradicts itself… YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

New Nintendo 3DS Comparison and Amiibo Videos

Earlier, we posted a video of the unboxing of the New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition, and now we have also uploaded some videos comparing the New Nintendo 3DS to the 3DS XL.

In these videos, we compare the speed in which it takes the systems to turn on, how long it takes to load a web page on the browser, and the amount of time you would need to wait to start playing your favourite game. We also take a little peek into the Amiibo settings of the New Nintendo 3DS. Enjoy!
