What Tracks does the Community want to see in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

Now that we’ve had a few weeks to let the dust settle on the first wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass, it’s probably not long until we start hearing more about the next wave.

In anticipation of whenever that announcement may be, we asked the NintyBuzz community what tracks they would like to see in future waves and why.

Find out what they had to say in our debut Community Article, after the break!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

REVIEW – Mario Kart 8 DX – Booster Course (Wave 1)

Mario Kart 8 first graced our living rooms in May 2014 on the WiiU. Introducing anti-gravity mechanics, improving on the previous iterations of customisation and even being updated with DLC this was set to be one of the best in the series. Fast Forward to April 2017 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (MK8DX) was released on the Nintendo Switch, packaged with the DLC tracks from the WiiU version and an improved Battle Mode with new stages, items and more to more closely imitate the original Battle Mode.. Almost eight years after its initial release, MK8DX is now the best selling Mario Kart title and takes its place as Nintendo’s third best selling game ever. But that wasn’t enough – In a move that surprised everyone, Nintendo recently announced DLC which will eventually add forty-eight new courses to the game. Releasing eight courses at a time, fans will see six waves between now and the end of 2023. With the first wave just released, see what we had to say about this in our review!

Starting 2022, we knew very little about Nintendo’s lineup, other than a handful of vague release windows. All that changed Wednesday after the first Nintendo Direct of the new year.

The forty-minute presentation covered a wide range of Nintendo Switch games leading up to the end of Summer. We saw a resurfacing of classics, one of which never broke out of Japan, updates to previously launched Switch games, and even a couple new announcements to boot. REVIEW – Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack)

If the question was “Name a chaotic racing game that is almost guaranteed to make you lose friends”, the answer would almost certainly be “Mario Kart”. As the years go by, this only rings more true as the series has been incredibly creative in finding innovative ways to make the game fun for players of all levels. Mario Kart 64, originally released back in 1996, was the first 3D outing for the series and has now finally made its debut on the Nintendo Switch via the “Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) + Expansion Pack”. Check out what we thought in this review!

Farewell to 2020 Charity Stream

2020 has been a bit naff, hasn’t it, so what’s a better way to say farewell than to spend some quality time playing games with others while also supporting all the healthcare workers that have been working endlessly during the COVID-19 Pandemic? This Thursday we’ll be doing just that. We have a nice schedule of different games to play on Nintendo Switch we can all play together live on Twitch. In addition to our line-up of online gaming, we will also be hosting a fundraiser, raising money for the NHS Charities Together organisation to show our support for the countless healthcare workers who have received the brunt of this hellish year.

During the live stream, there will also be a chance to win a £50 Nintendo eShop voucher. There are a variety of ways to increase your chances of winning, though some of them won’t be clear until the actual day, so it is definitely worth tuning into the stream for further improve the odds.

You can check out our full schedule and info on how to enter our giveaway after the break!

REVIEW – Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit

Mario Kart is a beloved multiplayer series from gaming’s most well-known series. Every Nintendo platform since the SNES has had a version of Mario Kart in some form or another and has even branched out to mobile devices and VR arcades. The Nintendo Switch is a tiny bit different where, up until now, the console only has a port of a previous title rather than a whole new game. Enter Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, not only is it the first brand new Mario Kart on Switch, but it also provides a unique new experience through the wonders of augmented reality (or AR).

Does Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit have what it takes to win glory over Rainbow Road, or is it worse than receiving a coin in first-place? Find out more in our review, after the break!
