Metroid Prime: Federation Force AMAA

UPDATE – I have decided that this will be an all day thing, therefor the thread is now open for all your questions!

A brand new feature is coming to NintyBuzz; next week, we are hosting our first AMAA (Ask Me Almost Anything). With Metroid Prime: Federation Force coming out fairly soon, we’d thought we’d start our first AMAA with the title.

The Metroid Prime: federation Force AMAA will take place on Friday 26th August 2016 from 6pm BST. This is currently going through a testing phase, so expect some errors and ‘whoopsies’. When the time comes, just log onto the forum, go to the Metroid Prime: Federation Force AMAA thread (clicky), and post any questions you have for the game. I’ll then follow up some of the questions and will update the original post at the end. If you haven’t got a NintyBuzz account, you can create one in less than two minutes by clicking here! It should be obvious, but I will only answer serious questions about the game. Any questions we deem unnecessary will be deleted.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force releases exclusively for Nintendo 3DS Family Systems on the 19th August in North America, and the 2nd September in Europe!

Metroid 30th Anniversary – A Retrospect

30 years ago today, Samus Aran set off on her first adventure on the NES, where she explores the depths of Zebes to stop the Space Pirates from exploiting Metroid lifeforms for their own devious agenda. Since then, she has been an influential game character due to the representation of her gender. She is independent, strong, and a badass bounty hunter who has even wiped out entire species and destroyed planets!

To celebrate 30 years of the series, I produced this little retrospect video which showcases some of her best moments over three decade run of the series. Let’s hope it doesn’t end there and there are many more years to come. Enjoy!

Shout out your favourite Metroid moments in the comments below! (Please make comments via the article thread on the forum as we are experiencing some technical difficulties regarding commenting)

Metroid Prime: Blast Ball Demo Blasts onto eShop

Blast into a futurised game of football (or soccer for our American friends) in the Metroid Prime: Blast Ball Demo. Compete in teams of three, and use gigantic mechs to blast the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Teamwork is key if you want to succeed. Defend your goal, fend off your enemies, and blast that ball!

The Blast Ball demo went live on the eShop unexpectedly this past Thursday, and can be downloaded from the eShop for free right now. The demo comes packed with single player, local multiplayer, download play, and online multiplayer modes. You can also customise your mech with different designs and colours. If you tap a supported Amiibo, you may unlock a special design based on that character too! This is the perfect chance to become adjusted to the controls before Federation Force launches next month.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force releases exclusively for Nintendo 3DS Family Systems on the 19th August 2016 in North America, and the 2nd September 2016 in Europe! Check out the latest trailer after the break, or click here to find out more!

The Return of Game Days!

Those of you who have been on the forums since the beginning of 3DS Buzz may remember a special event we would hold from time to time called 3DS Buzz Game Days. Well, I have some exciting news, Game Days is making a return next week!

For those not in the know, Game Days are organised days where the community plays a bunch of games online together. Anyone is able to participate at any time during the session, and it isn’t anything competitive, it’s just so that we are all able to have a bit of fun without worrying about ranks and whatnot. It’s also perfect for those who are a bit nervous about playing online, I still find it daunting with some titles, especially in games like Super Smash Bros., which I am horrible at against competent opponents.

Find out more after the break!

REVIEW – Monster Hunter Generations

It’s not easy being a Monster Hunter. The Larinoths are always getting in the way, the Bnahabras constantly think they can take you, and that Great Maccao thinks you’ll do as a nice snack. Monster Hunter is back, and takes everything that is great in the popular monster hunting RPG into one, in Monster Hunter Generations.

Will Monster Hunter Generations take the Astalos’ head as a trophy, or will it be digested into a steamy pile of monster dung? Find out in our in-depth review, after the break!

Ella Eyre and Nintendo Presents… My Life in 3DS

Nintendo have been digging through the entertainment pool once again to help market the Nintendo 3DS to a wider audience. In the past, they have teamed up with people and groups such as Beyoncé, Penélope Cruz, and The Vamps. More recently however, they have teamed up with someone a bit different. Ella Eyre (real name Ella McMahon) is a British born musician, and she is a new ambassador for the Nintendo 3DS family.

Ella Eyre is mostly known for working in genres like R&B, Pop, and Neo Soul (think Soul with an essence of Drum and Bass). She has won several prestigious awards like the BRIT Award for Single of 2014, and the MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) for Best Female Artist of 2015. Ella Eyre loves playing games which allow her to use her creativity and express her unique personality, more specifically, she loves Tomodachi Life. Because of this, she is teaming up with Nintendo in a new campaign where she gives an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her life, and with her friends and family explains the important role that gaming plays for her.

Check out the full release after the break, which include some more information about the campaign!
