The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.
After witnessing a non-Nintendo game featured on NintyBeats on his week off, Mr. Fuego has gone mad with power. Realising he no longer has any restraints, he casts aside all petty rules. Just when you thought it was safe to read NintyBeats…
I included a piece from this game in another recent NintyBeats, but who cares? I can do what I want, and nobody reads this anyway. Skyward Sword has an exceptional soundtrack, k?
If you have nostalgia for any version of Pokémon, you probably find this simple tune nostalgic. Follow Me is in every generation of Pokémon, and is waaay underappreciated (if YouTube searches are to be believed (which they are)). We both know that is unacceptable.
…And maybe its good that it’s underappreciated, since otherwise somebody might notice that it’s a total rip-off of this piece from Pooyan on NES. Fine, probably not, but it certainly sounds similar.
Oh, you thought I’d stop at three? Not this time. You thought I’d stick to Nintendo games? As I’m sure you know, Nintendo was originally involved in the development of the PlayStation. That’s right, literally every PlayStation game is a Nintendo game now. Oh, you don’t agree? Hah, I veto your opinion. I have the power here.
Yep, another Pokémon piece. You can’t stop me. You can’t deny the Pokémon series’ collective soundtrack is brilliant. In fact, why do I even have to explain these choices at all?
So that wraps up another week’s NintyBeats! I hope you enjoyed the choices this time.
If you would like to have a certain piece featured next week, please post it in the comments!
