After waiting a long time to hear about news for pre-ordering the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition, Nintendo of Europe announced that they are unable to fulfil them in time for the game’s release next week.

Their statement is as follows:

Due to unforeseen logistical challenges, we are unable to open pre-orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition before the game launches on July 29th. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. To give customers the flexibility to purchase and enjoy the game at launch, we will now be offering the contents of the Collector’s Edition (soft cover concept art book, steel case and outer box packaging) as a separate purchase at a price that does not include the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 software. This means you can buy the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game when it launches on July 29th, and have a chance to pre-order the Collector’s Edition contents on My Nintendo Store later in September.

Please note: The contents of the Collector’s Edition (Nintendo Switch SteelBook® case, softcover concept art book and outer box packaging) will be delivered separately at a later date (expected delivery timing: autumn 2022). All items will be shipped with free delivery.

More information regarding orders will be made available closer to the time. If you were looking forward to this, it is recommended you go ahead and buy the game anyway, as the new Collector’s Edition will not include it, but will be cheaper as a result.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releases for Nintendo Switch on July 29th.

Long time fan of Nintendo and games in general, I always lean on the quirkier and unique sides of things in particular. It all started when I was lucky enough to get a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow for my tenth birthday and it’s been going strong ever since. I’ve always had a need to get my voice heard and share anything I find interesting with the world.
