REVIEW – Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra

The Crown Tundra is the second part of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Expansion Pass. In my earlier review, I covered the first section of this downloadable content for Pokémon Sword, with The Isle of Armor, an area of Galar that features a new wild area and a short story featuring a new Pokémon called Kubfu. This latest update expands the region further into a snow-swept environment, where you can explore Pokémon dens and encounter powerful Pokémon! This new region was confirmed to be based on Scotland, United Kingdom!

REVIEW: Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Isle of Armor

Pokémon Sword and Shield are the first games in the series to introduce an expansion pass, providing downloadable content which adds new areas to the base game. In June 2020, the first part of this pass was released in the form of The Isle of Armor, a huge island situated to the east of the Galar region, with a varied landscape to explore! You can access the Isle of Armor by purchasing the appropriate expansion pass from the Nintendo eShop, and download the most recent update to Pokémon Sword and Shield. From there, head to Wedgehurst Station and show your pass to the rail staff, who will allow you to travel to the new area.

Pokémon Presents reveals new titles for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices

June is usually a big month for game announcements, courtesy of the E3 Expo. However, its cancellation this year has resulted in developers and publishers instead choosing to share their game announcements via video conferences and live streams. Last week saw Sony fully unveiling the Playstation 5, whilst Microsoft have made plans to show more of the Xbox Series X in July – however Nintendo, as they like to do best, are keeping fans waiting for news about what the year ahead holds for Switch owners.  While there is still no sign of an imminent Nintendo Direct, the Pokémon company have this afternoon shared some announcements of their own. Although this Pokémon direct was lacking in new console announcements (sorry to those of you anticipating the Pokémon Mini 2) it did have a few intriguing announcements of its own, with three new titles revealed to the public along with further details about games which have already been released. Pokémon Center London Survival Guide

Today, Pokémon Center London opened its doors for the first time. The store, which will remain open until the launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield (that’s 15th November 2019 for those who need a little reminder), will offer a range of Pokémon merchandise to purchase, some of which being exclusive to London, as well as the opportunity to demo and preorder Pokémon Sword and Shield.

We had the pleasure to attend the preview session yesterday afternoon which was a whole lot of fun. I’m sure many of you are just dying to run through their doors, but before you do so, be sure to read through our little survival guide to ensure that you get the most out of your London Pokémon experience. E3 Delivers Amazing Games, Great Friendships

LOS ANGELES — The annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as E3, was an even better experience than I had imagined it was growing up.

This year’s event was hosted from June 11-13, and video game development companies shared their newest products in the expansive Los Angeles Convention Center as usual. While this year marked a significant absence from Sony, the company that has brought gamers the PlayStation consoles, there was still plenty of fun jam-packed into two massive display halls.
