I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

Review: Glyph

Released earlier this year, Glyph is a unique take on puzzle-platformers. The developer has created this game with the mantra “Easy to learn, but hard to master”. Albeit a very crowded and competitive genre, read our review to find out what we think of Bolverk Games’ debut on the Nintendo Switch.

NintyBeats – Valentine’s Day Special 2021

February 2021’s addition of NintyBeats is yet another opportunity to share some Nintendo music that I truly love. In past versions of these features, I have written about music from some of the first Nintendo games I was introduced to, music that had a romance theme to them, and my favourite music from the Animal Crossing and Metroid series. You might be wondering if there are even more themes that I love, and the answer would be: of course!

Today I want to share an additional four themes that reaffirm my love for video games from Nintendo.

REVIEW – Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

The Sprixie Kingdom has gotten a tad catty as the realm has been hit with a double whammy of feline proportions. Originally launching eight years ago in 2013 for the Nintendo Wii U, this Super Mario 3D Land sequel (kind of) swipes its way onto Nintendo Switch, this time with an extra standalone adventure in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

Will you rescue the Sprixie Princesses or try to cool the fury of Bowser’s rage first? Take your pick, ready your claws, and check out our review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury after the break!

Review – Writhe

It’s tough to stand out in the free-for-all of Nintendo’s eShop. Despite this, there can be hidden gems buried in the rubble that need dusting off so they can gleam in the spotlight! Writhe might not be the game to catch your eye, but the worth is evident under closer examination. I’m not saying it’s a diamond, but perhaps a shard of brilliant-green peridot! The game is set in a dystopian Bangkok, where giant, mutated Sago Worms have gone rogue and you are a lone ‘Exterminator’ fending off the hoard. Writhe is a classic arcade FPS experience and the tiny development team at Mission Ctrl Studios do their best to pay homage to a simpler time.
