For the past year, Smash Bros. Director, Masahiro Sakurai, has been showing off Smash Bros. glory by uploading a screenshot from the upcoming instalments for 3DS and Wii U nearly every day on Miiverse… that’s a whole lot of content for your eyeballs! Today, Sakurai has revealed yet another stage… and once again he shows his support of home invasion!

And, of course, here’s Sakurai’s statement…

This is the Tomodachi Life stage that’s exclusive to the 3DS version! The front walls of the apartments disappear so you can see the area within when a fighter overlaps with the room. The rooms are randomly placed and selected from among several types. Planting an X Bomb behind a wall might be an effective tactic.

Yes, it is a stage based on Tomodachi Life exclusively for the 3DS version. Similar to the Luigi’s Mansion course in Brawl, the walls will disappear as soon as a fighter walks behind it. However, now there are various different rooms with various different walls; perfect for hiding a little trap. Each of these rooms will be randomly selected and placed, so every time you play this stage will be a new experience… kind of like riding Star Tours at Disneyland California!

Here’s another pic which goes into more detail on the stage.

You might run into a Mii living in the room! The Mii characters are taken from the data in your 3DS system, so you could find your friends living in the apartments.

So it seems that the stage will add a slight personal touch to your match as the game will see if you have a Tomodachi Life save file, and if you do it will import some of your residents; how sweet… Though I still think they should remove their shoes… all that fighter crap they track in takes forever to wash out of the rug!

Super Smash Bros. is set to be released for 3DS on the 13th September 2014 in Japan, 3rd October 2014 in Europe and North America, and a day later in Australia. The Wii U version is set to be released during Q4 2014.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
