For the past year, Smash Bros. Director, Masahiro Sakurai, has been showing off Smash Bros. glory by uploading a screenshot from the upcoming instalments for 3DS and Wii U nearly every day on Miiverse… that’s a whole lot of content for your eyeballs! Today’s pic shows us a glimpse of the Willy Castle stage… and no, I’m not being immature!

And here’s Sakurai’s statement…

In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions! We didn’t forget the Yellow Devil either. There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours.

Here, Sakurai is talking about how even though there will mainly be console exclusive stages, there will still be a few stages which will appear on both versions. However, to make sure these stages don’t feel like direct clones, there will be differences to the stages such as the time of day. I was thinking, what if some of these stages had slightly bigger differences, such as slightly different layout or hazards?

Super Smash Bros. is set to be released for 3DS on the 13th September 2014 in Japan, 3rd October 2014 in Europe and North America, and a day later in Australia. The Wii U version is set to be released during Q4 2014.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
