REVIEW – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Marvel’s Cinematic Universe may have been the most ambitious crossover once upon a time, but I believe Super Smash Bros. Ultimate now takes the title for itself. The popular party fighting game is back once again, and this time everyone is here!
Is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as strong as Incineroars ‘wrastling’, or as weak as Waluigi’s chances are to become a playable fighter? Find out in our review, after the break!

Countdown to Smash – Two more characters that should be in Ultimate
It’s so close, but I’ sure these last two-ish days may feel like the longest. Yes, just under two days remain until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches onto Nintendo Switch.
Due to a telling off of a couple friends, today’s countdown to smash will include a further two characters that should be added to Smash… are you happy now, Carlton! Check it out after the break.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Summary (08/08/18)
Wow, that Nintendo Direct was exhausting, but in the you just exercised feel good for yourself kind of way. Sakurai talked about enough to keep people excited, but left enough secrets to keep us wanting more, he even left a very big reveal for the end which fans have been wanting for a while.
If you have been living under a rock the past week, or if, like Sam, you only had a five minute break at college, don’t you worry, I have written a rather spiffing summary for your convenience. If you aren’t the reading type, then I’ve conveniently embedded the recording below just for you. Even though it will not get me an extra click, I still think it is a very generous trade-off for reader satisfaction!

In just under two hours, Nintendo will be revealing brand new information on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the Smash Direct. Following the very questionable behaviour from EVO last night, from both spectators and a specific player, Nintendo soon got the hype rolling again by announcing a brand new Nintendo Direct, one which will focus purely on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, for those who haven’t had enough smash in their lives yet. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct will air this Wednesday 8th August 2018 at 3pm BST (please look below for more timezones). We will have an embed available on Wednesday before it airs!

What will this Direct entail? Who knows, all we know is that it will focus primarily on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If it’s anything like the Smash Wii U Direct, hopefully we may hear a couple new character reveals (remember new characters will be at a minimum according to Sakurai), and possible some info on the other modes that we get to delve into in December. Though it may not happen, it would make a lot of sense to reveal some more information on the Nintendo Switch Online service which is supposed to go live next month.
