REVIEW – Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

The Sprixie Kingdom has gotten a tad catty as the realm has been hit with a double whammy of feline proportions. Originally launching eight years ago in 2013 for the Nintendo Wii U, this Super Mario 3D Land sequel (kind of) swipes its way onto Nintendo Switch, this time with an extra standalone adventure in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

Will you rescue the Sprixie Princesses or try to cool the fury of Bowser’s rage first? Take your pick, ready your claws, and check out our review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury after the break!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

Metroid Prime: Blast Ball Demo Blasts onto eShop

Blast into a futurised game of football (or soccer for our American friends) in the Metroid Prime: Blast Ball Demo. Compete in teams of three, and use gigantic mechs to blast the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Teamwork is key if you want to succeed. Defend your goal, fend off your enemies, and blast that ball!

The Blast Ball demo went live on the eShop unexpectedly this past Thursday, and can be downloaded from the eShop for free right now. The demo comes packed with single player, local multiplayer, download play, and online multiplayer modes. You can also customise your mech with different designs and colours. If you tap a supported Amiibo, you may unlock a special design based on that character too! This is the perfect chance to become adjusted to the controls before Federation Force launches next month.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force releases exclusively for Nintendo 3DS Family Systems on the 19th August 2016 in North America, and the 2nd September 2016 in Europe! Check out the latest trailer after the break, or click here to find out more!

Splatoon Direct Announcements

Wasn’t that a short and sweet direct… well maybe not so sweet, those Inkling’s look very mischievous! Though the majority of the Direct was basically recapping information which we have heard before, there were still some very interesting information announced too.

Splat Direct! Splatoon Nintendo Direct Next Thursday

Update – Apologies, the reported date is a Thursday, NOT a Friday.

We don’t usually cover news, but when we do, it’s got to be exciting, and here we are! We may have had a Nintendo Direct at the beginning of the month (not including the Xenoblade Mini-Direct last week), but it seems they think that we already deserve another direct, this time focusing on Splatoon, next Thursday (7th May 2015)

You can expect it to air in various regions as follows:

North America – 10am EST

UK – 3pm BST

Europe – 4pm CEST

Australia/New Zealand – Midnight AEST

Japan – 11pm

No news yet how long this Direct will be, it could just be another mini-Direct, but we’ll be sure to have a discussion about the event soon after.

Splatoon will be released on the 29th May 2015 in Europe and North America.
