Rocket League – Review

*Strong Language Warning*

Let’s start out with this statement: I can’t stand football. I find the whole concept of rude idiots (mostly, some of them are nice and intelligent) kicking a ball around a field and falling over like they’ve been on the receiving end of a tactical carpet bombing getting paid enormously vast sums of money for it to be completely baffling. Not that professional sport shouldn’t be a thing, but the money involved in professional football is vastly disproportionate to almost any other sport, excluding motorsport because the science behind that stuff cost a shit load of money.

Now I could go on about this subject, in fact I did on the first draft of this, but that’s not why you’re here. The purpose of the above paragraph was to show the point that I really like Rocket League means. (more…)

The ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Fiasco

In case you’ve been living as a nomad for the last few years, you might have realised that it’s 2015 and that this year has been a great one for gaming, with the release of games like Kerbal Space Program (after 3 years in Early Access), GTA V for the PC & Cities: Skylines, a better city builder than the 2013 Sim City ever could be. This run of great games has given me cause for annoyance with the release of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.

Check out my rant of the situation after the break! (And yes, this is a PC article on a Nintendo blog… go figure!)

The Big E3 Round-Up [Strong Language]

Well thank Christ it’s over. This shouldn’t have been my reaction to the end of the biggest gaming conference on the world, but it was… The bad and mediocre vastly outweighed the good, but what was good, was on the whole a very positive thing for the industry. So in case you missed it here is a round-up of the E3 conference.

EDITOR’S NOTE – Be warned, our new writer does not withhold any punches and can be very… uhh, vocal about it. If you are a sensitive fanboy and dislike the use of some explicit language, turn away now. If you feel you are strong enough, check out Snowy’s brilliant write-up after the break!

We’re back… sorta

Could this be? Am I finally making another post on the moderately dusty NintyBuzz? Why yes, it is and I am! I apologise greatly for the inactivity over the past few months, I’ll be honest, I was starting to think maybe I should close shop, however I recently changed my mind and have decided to keep the site going, though I will be changing NintyBuzz’s focus to try and make it easier to reduce the inactivity.

Unfortunately, I have decided that NintyBuzz will no longer be a Nintendo news site. Let’s face it, there are way too many news sites out there on the world wide web which, frankly, do a much better job covering news than I do. I may post some news articles if something huge is announced (say if Nintendo release a Zelda movie… DO IT NINTENDO!) or articles on E3 however.

If I’m not posting news, then what will I post? Good question. I have decided that I will focus NintyBuzz’s efforts on publishing reviews, tournaments, competitions and features (I hope to bring back NintyBeats very soon).

Finally, every once in a while, crazy as it may sound, I will also post features and reviews on gaming outside of Nintendo, though this will be to a limited extent for now.

Before I finish up, I would just like to apologise again for the delay of articles and I would also like to thank anyone who have been coming back, awaiting for my return… YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

Microsoft may buy Minecraft for $2 Billion

It’s time for some Non-Nintendo news! Microsoft were the first to get Minecraft onto consoles after the huge success on the PC, and it looks like they want to keep any future plans exclusive to the Xbox One and 360.

According to The Verge Microsoft is paying $2 billion for Mojang AB, but clearly they only want one thing from the comapany, and we all know it isn’t Scrolls.

Find out more after the break!

Weaver Touched by Alien: Isolation Story!

Okay, we usually don’t cover stories which don’t have anything to do with Nintendo, but sometimes we may find something which we find interesting enough that it deserves coverage on NintyBuzz. Today I am talking about the newest game in the Alien franchise, Alien: Isolation. The story follows Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, exploring space in search for her mother. (more…)
