Luigi’s Mansion 3 DLC Pack 1 Out Now

Though Halloween is long gone, the Last Resort hotel still has some tricks up their dungarees. As part of the Luigi’s Mansion 3 DLC schedule, Nintendo has just dropped the first pack today.

The DLC pack adds three new costumes to allow Luigi to really get into character: Mummigi, The Green Knight, and Groovigi. While scaling the ScareScraper, you may find yourself in matching environments if someone from your party is wearing one of the special costumes, regardless if others have the DLC installed or not. Did we mention each environment also adds a couple brand new uniquely styled ghosts?

The DLC pack also introduces three new ScreamPark games. Take dodgeball to the next level with the Poltergust G-00 in DodgeBrawl, collect coins in a rubber ducky while dodging logs in River Bank, and capture some ghosts with a ‘shocking’ twist in Tricky Ghost hunt. Want a bit of practive in the ScreamPark?

Haven’t purchased the DLC bundle yet? Never fear, there’s also a brand new update that adds a few other thrilling little features. You can now take on the ScreamPark alone without any opponents in practice mode, tackle a 20-floor ScareScraper, experience five new types of rare ghost in ScareScraper, and even listen to some music from the game in the newly added album.

All of the above is available now, and the DLC can be purchased as part of the DLC bundle for £8.99. Pack 2 will launch some time during the Summer.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

REVIEW – Runbow (Nintendo Switch)

‘If you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist’, in real life that message holds no value, in Runbow, it means everything. The frantic, multi-coloured multiplayer game that debuted on Nintendo Wii U is back once again, this time on Nintendo Switch. Get ready to run, jump, and punch in this multi-coloured package of fun anytime, anywhere, with anyone!

Is Runbow a rainbow dash of fun, or is it more dull than being stuck in the Dulux store? Find out in our review, after the break!

E3 2018 – Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion Launching Tomorrow, New Amiibo, and Updates

A nice surprise announcement was made during the Splatoon 2 World Championship Finals last night, the long awaited paid DLC for Splatoon 2, Octo Expansion, is launching tomorrow. That’s right, tomorrow morning (this evening for our US visitors) you can purchase/download the brand new single player experience for Splatoon 2!  Explore the depths of the underground facilities over 80 brand new challenging missions as an Octoling agent.

That’s not all that was announced. Later in the year, Nintendo will be releasing three brand new Amiibo based off the expansion. These are Octoling Boy, Octoling Girld, and Octoling Octoform! No word yet on what features these will unlock, though it’s probably safe to assume that they will have similar usability as the Inkling Amiibo.

Finally, Splatoon 2 producer, Hisashi Nogami, announced that free updates for Splatoon 2 will be extended by another six months until December. Expect brand new gear, weapons, and stages to drop throughout the rest of the year!

What are your thoughts on these announcements? What do you think of E3 2018 so far? Tell us in the comments below!

Rocket League Switch Exclusives Revealed

Today Psyonix showcased three Switch exclusive vehicles through their Rocket League YouTube channel.

The video showed (rather expected) Mario and Luigi vehicles named ‘Mario NSR’ and ‘Luigi NSR’ respectively. But as you may have guessed from the featured image, the show stopper was the car based on ‘Samus’ Gunship’ which looks absolutely stunning.

These vehicles come free and will be available to unlock on launch day (though we still know no further than Holiday 2017). And despite how gorgeous the trailer is, there wasn’t any gameplay so we don’t know if sparks and movement graphics will be replaced by Stars and rainbows for the Mario cars – at least I’m hoping for this attention to detail to be realised!

Pyonix still hasn’t detailed what the ‘exclusive customization items‘ will be, or whether any more vehicles will be released on or after launch, yet with the quality of that Metroid representation, I’m sure it’ll be just as awesome.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Season Pass Announced

As another day of Gamescom gets underway, Nintendo show no sign of slowing down, with demonstrations of Lola Pop from ARMS, a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament and gameplay of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. In fact, they even had new information to share about the unique crossover title coming to the Nintendo Switch – in the form of a Season Pass.

Now, granted that a lot of the time, the idea of DLC really causes friction in the gaming community, but this one features enough content to warrant your attention.

Check out the details after the break!

New Arms Fighter Incoming

Last week, Nintendo of Japan’s Twitter page announced that the next ARMS update will include a brand new fighter, along with brand new ARMS. The same account just gave us a sneak peek to what we can expect.

Though the snippet of footage is blurry, we can make out that the new fighter could be likely to be female (thought we wouldn’t want to assume now, would we) and that one of their ARMS seems to twirl around in fashion. Additionally, from the rough translation, it seems their ARMS are actually distinctly part of the new fighter’s dress. This fighter will surely make the others look like they hit a fashion faux pas!

Haven’t picked up ARMS yet? Try reading our review to see what we thought!

Splat Brella Releasing Tomorrow for Splatoon 2

One of Splatoon’s unique new weapons is releasing tomorrow, the Splat Brella. This shotgun like weapon is perfect for close encounters, and holding fire will open up the parasol acting like a nifty shield. That’s not all, hold the brella open long enough will launch it forwards. Use this for a sneak attack… your enemy won’t know what splat them!
