After seeing how everybody thinks the 3DS will be $300, I decided to do my homework on the Japanese and American price, and I'm pretty sure the 3DS will be $249. Observe:

    Dsi: 15,000 Yen=179.41 USD - Actual Price: 149.99 USD- Difference: $30

    Wii: 20,000 Yen= 239.21 USD - Actual Price: 199.99 USD - Difference: $40

    3DS: 25,000 Yen= 299 USD - Actual Price(?): 249.99 USD - Difference: $50

It would be logical for the 3DS to be priced at $249 in the US. That's probably 250 euros for those in Europe.

Throughout this whole period the Yen was gaining value, and the difference increased between the direct price in Japan and NA. I actually think it will be 250 dollars at launch, but if it isn't, I might not get it. :(

More evidence that the 3DS will be 250 dollars in the US:
That makes it very likely that the 3DS will cost the same as the Wii at launch, meaning it will cost 250 dollars!

Are you sure you got the euro right. If you convert 25000 yen it is 220 euro. So if you are right it will be 30 euro more

Sorry, it will probably be 250 euros also since the Wii was 250 euros when it launched and conversions from dollars to euros for video games tend to be $1 to ƒ1

Yes, Nintendo basically convert the money like this,

    ¥100 to the $1

That would mean ¥25,000 would be $250

    $1 = £1 = €1

    so $250 would be £250 and €250

How could you price it at £160? Thats more then the current DSi.

Its going to be £250, period.

Rip off huh? Well don't buy it then. It has a 3D camera, internal camera, 3D screen, 3D movies on the go, charging dock, web browser, Multi tasking, Music playback, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, touch screen, a 3D screen, 2GB SD card, amazing graphics, diary functions, pedometer, online stores and much more.

The iPhone 4, in comparison, costs £490.

Just because you wont buy it, doesn't not mean others will not as well.

£250 is a very good price in my eyes, and it will be £200 at the very least, ands thats pushing it.

Trust me, Nintendo convert the prices like that.

    £1 to a $1 to a €1

They've been doing that for the past few years and have been successful, so they can do that with the 3DS.

Yes, thats how they work, and its always worded.

It couldn't be less then £250 anyways, Nintendo always make profits.

    That would be so dissapointing.
£199 or so would tempt me to buy it on the release date, depending on the games, but £250 is a little too much.
If they bought it out at £150 (will probably never happen, since dsi xl is about 140), I would go and wait in front of a game store at early hours of the morning clutching my moneys,

Here is my revised 3DS price forecast: NA=250$, EU=250ƒ, UK=200ƒ*

*Was the Wii 200 or 250 Pounds at launch? If it was 250, then my prediction would change to 250 pounds for the 3DS.

The Wii launched at £179 since the pound was stronger and the Wii was and is old technology. That was before all the recession and what not.

Then I'll expect this to be 200 Pounds because of the recession. This is off topic, but how do you type the pound sign in using a Mac?
