Companies don’t seem to be shy to file lawsuits against Nintendo, such as the six year dispute between the Japanese gaming giant and RecogniCorp over Mii character creation. Luckily, for the most part, Nintendo has come out victorious.

It seems, however, that Nintendo are being hit yet again with another lawsuit, this time regarding the detachable JoyCons. Accessory manufacturer, Gamevice, claims that Nintendo’s JoyCon controllers are similar to their Wikipad accessory, and are suing Nintendo for damages and are hoping to have a ban on Nintendo Switch sales.

Personally, I believe it should be easy for Nintendo to overturn this case, but it should be interesting to see how this plays out… I very much doubt Gamevice will be able to ban Switch sales however!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
