The music of Nintendo games make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our love of the music, every Friday we share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo titles, new and old.

This week, the 3 featured pieces are related to the 3 biggest announcements in the recent Nintendo Direct. According to Mr. Fuego, anyway.

The most unexpected part of the Direct came at the end. Everyone expected a new Smash Bros. character, but nobody expected it would be Cloud. There have been mixed reactions, but there are certainly thousands of fans who are feeling the way this music portrays.

I could include something from Twilight Princess here, but since Nintendo clearly cares so little about the title, why should I? Instead, I’ll include this piece from Ocarina of Time, which represents the game’s wide-open Hyrule Field, an idea which is channeled in Zelda U. If only I could sell you an Amiibo with this NintyBeats.

Obviously, the most exciting part of the Direct was the release of the Xenoblade Chronicles X Data Packs. …Except they weren’t released here in Europe. …And still aren’t. I suppose it’s only fair, since Europe got the original game so much earlier.

So that wraps up another week’s NintyBeats! I hope you enjoyed the choices this time.

If you would like to have a certain piece featured next week, please post it in the comments!
