One of my favourite announcements during the Nintendo Direct stream earlier was the release date for Majora’s Mask 3D and the announcement of the special edition New 3DS XL design. Though that was all they revealed about the game on the stream, they sneakily released some exciting information onto the official Majora’s Mask 3D website!

Find out what these details are after the break!

It was very likely that the bottom screen would work very similarly to how it worked in Ocarina of Time 3D, and it does, though now it has gotten a slight facelift visually. As you can see, the Items and Map tab is still in the same place, but there is now anew tab to house all the masks you have collected. This has now moved the Gear tab to the side. One interesting thing to point out is the fact that the View button no longer exists and is now replaced with the Pictograph Box. Is this now a permanent fixture, or is there a fourth slot for your items?

The other day, we posted about how the Bomber’s Notebook has also received an upgrade, but this is the first time we get to see what it looks like. The Event Notes is new. It looks like it will display any events which you are currently carrying out to make sure you do not forget what you are doing and there is also rumoured events, possibly tips for Events you haven’t discovered yet. The other photo shows a description of the event but also has a schedule button. This must mean that you can now set an alarm for an event in case you forget what time it takes place at. Pretty neat upgrade if you ask me.

We finally get to see these rumoured feather statues, or Quill Statues as the official website calls them. The website states how you can save whenever you want with these statues. As these are statue though, I think it possibly means that you aren’t forced to save and quit but rather save and continue. These statues come at a price though, apparently the game will no longer save when you go back to the Dawn of the First Day!

What do you think of these upgrades to Majora’s Mask 3D? Tell us in the comments below!

Majora’s Mask 3D will be released worldwide on Friday 13th February 2015 [a perfect day to meet with a terrible fate!]

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
