Music plays such a huge part within Nintendo games to make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our appreciation and love of the music, every Friday we shall share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo games, new and old.

This weekend, we pick some exciting and emotional beats which you may feel inclined to add to the playlist to your personal life.

Listen to our selection after the break!

Electrodome ~ Mario Kart 8 ~ Wii U (2014)

Let’s start off the weekend with this exhilarating track from the most recent entry in the Mario Kart franchise, the Electrodome. Though it may not sound the best when you listen to it casually, that suddenly changes as soon as you actually race on the Electrodome… or any other fast-paced, futuristic race tracks. You can’t help to feel very excited, I swear there has never been a time where I haven’t smiled and felt that tingling in my stomach when racing at the Electrodome!

Thanks for the suggestion, IceSpear!

Twinkle Cart… for Twinkle Park ~ Sonic Adventure DX ~ Nintendo GameCube (2003)

I have very fond memories playing this awesome Sonic Adventure port. It was one of the first games I received with the GameCube on my 8th[?] birthday. Though I wasn’t very good at it at that time, once I got to Twinkle Park, I absolutely fell in love with the area for two reasons: it’s amusement park themed and the first track you hear. The music just sounds so exciting and thrilling with that electro vibe when you are speeding your dodgem down a devious track… I’m just hoping SEGA use Twinkle Park and this music in their next Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing game! Some of you may also know that this theme is a remix of the, just as awesome, Puppet Panic Zone Act 1… a song you may hear in a future NintyBeats article.

Staff Credits ~ The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD ~ Wii U (2013)

The final pick for the weekend drastically changes the mood from an exciting, pumped up beat to a more fanatic fanfare… I am, of course, talking about the End Credits Theme to The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. In my opinion, this is simply one of the most perfect ending themes in any video game [apart from the dog ending to Silent Hill 2 Ending… that’s just pure awesome haha]. It bodes very well to sum up a very emotional journey to save your sister and banish Ganondorf once again from the Land of Hyrule. Plus, the HD version seems to add a bit more clarity to boost this effect.

Thank you for the suggestion, Nintendo Rules!

Unfortunately, it is that time once again to close this weekend’s NintyBeats up, though fret not, as we will return next weekend with a slightly larger selection as we celebrate the release of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U [can you believe it, only a week left]!

Be sure to post any suggestions you may have in the comments below and enjoy your weekend! 🙂

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
