During E3, Nintendo announced that Bayonetta 2 would be getting online two player multiplayer. Today they released some nifty details about this mode, which is called Tag Climax… that’s a bit saucy now, isn’t it?

Not only can you invite your friends to the party, you can also be matched up with a random player online or, if you hate social situations but are a bit lonely, you can play with a computer controlled character. There will quite a bit of variety with this mode. You can test your strength by fighting challenging bosses, get surrounded by hordes of enemies and even change the time of day.

If you are one with a bit of competitive spirit, then in quick matches you can bet Halos (the in-game currency) on who can get the best score. You can then use these to purchase techniques, accessories and alternate weapon variations. The stages you can play all depend on what Verse Cards you have acquired, you can also heighten the difficulty if you are feeling adventurous, this can also increase your bounty… unless you lose, if you lose you will lose more of your Halos. Finally, you can choose your own character, weapons and accessories before starting a match and most equipment and skills can be acquired as you progress in the main story.

Bayonetta 2 is set to be released on the 20th September in Japan, and sometime in October in North American and Europe. Though the retail version comes with the original Bayonetta remake you will have to purchase it separately on the Wii U eShop, however the value of Bayonetta 1 and 2 on the eShop combined equals the same as the RRP in stores.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
