For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past year, Smash Bros. Director, Masahiro Sakurai, has been showing off Smash Bros. glory by uploading a screenshot from the upcoming instalments for 3DS and Wii U nearly every day on MiiVerse… that’s a whole lot of visual content for your eyeballs! Though Mario has missed 4th of July, it is never to late to get a bit patriotic… or a lot if you’re Mario!

Here’s what Sakurai had to say…

The character farther in the back isn’t from the Imperial forces, and the character in the front is not the infamous drum-playing puppet in Osaka. No, Mario is actually wearing an outfit from Family Computer Golf: U.S. Course! NES Open Tournament Golf might be a more familiar title.

I am really loving the… well… love towards alternative costumes and how much detail is being put into them. Mario in a patriotic outfit from NES Open Tournament Golf and Samus in her Light Suit from her second 3D outing, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Perhaps we could she even more costumes available post-release in the form of cheap DLC.

Super Smash Bros. is set to be released on the 13th September 2014 in Japan, 3rd October 2014 in Europe and North America, and a day later in Australia for 3DS. The Wii U version is set to be released during Q4 2014.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
