Long time fan of Nintendo and games in general, I always lean on the quirkier and unique sides of things in particular. It all started when I was lucky enough to get a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow for my tenth birthday and it’s been going strong ever since. I’ve always had a need to get my voice heard and share anything I find interesting with the world.

Latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Fighter Revealed!

I have been gaming for 30 years, starting mostly with PC Gaming, where I developed a penchant for classic point and click games. Over time I discovered Nintendo, starting with the Game Boy and the Super Mario Land games. Here, my love for Nintendo grew as I discovered many of their other franchises, from Zelda to Pokémon. These days I play a bit of everything but Nintendo and their unique creativity always keeps me coming back for more.

Sakurai murders majority of Smash roster in Nintendo Direct (Recap)

Super Smash Bros. overlord, Masahiro Sakurai, admitted to the brutal murder of many beloved Nintendo characters in the latest Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct.

Due to the overwhelming pressure of working on the Super Smash Bros. series, Ultimate has finally pushed the famed director over the edge. More than 70 different characters were fatally injured during the final Ultimate Direct before the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

Nintendo’s E3 2018 Details

Over the weekend, Nintendo announced their plans for this years E3 event. You know, that one week a year that is literally a second Christmas for gamers across the globe.

Kick-starting Nintendo’s presence at E3 2018 is the Splatoon 2 World Championships’ opening rounds. This will start at 11:30pm BST on Monday 11th June 2018 and will find the creme de la creme of worldwide Splatoon 2 champions.

The main event will proceed a day later on Tuesday 12th June 2018 in Nintendo’s Video Presentation. As per usual, Nintendo will be showcasing a range of upcoming Nintendo Switch games for 2018 (and probably beyond). Expect some Smash Bros. and new announcements here. It is currently unknown how long the presentation will be at this time.

The video presentation will be directly followed by three full days of Nintendo Treehouse: Live. This is the chance to get a closer looks at games from the video presentation, along with some commentary by the Nintendo Treehouse and game developers. If it’s anything like previous years, we may receive even more reveals.

The 12th June will also see the grand finales of not only the Splatoon 2 World Championships, but also the Super Smash Bros. Invitational, back to back. More details of specific timings will follow.

You can catch most, if not all, these events on our E3 2018 Hub, or Nintendo’s Official E3 Microsite.

FAN CONCEPT – Challenger Approaching Competition

Bumped to the top for reminder!

Not too long ago, it was announced that Nintendo will be listening to the many Smash fans to help determine future DLC fighter additions to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U via an online ballot. To celebrate this wondrous occasion we at NintyBuzz want to put your imagination to the test once again, however instead of creating a fan-made Mario Kart 8 track, you’ll be thinking up your very own fighter pack for Smash Bros. If you create a submission that really stands out, then you could win an Amiibo of your choice.

Find out all the details of this smashing competition after the break!
