I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

New Paper Mario: The Origami King Details Emerge

With nearly a month until Paper Mario: The Origami King launches for Nintendo Switch, more details about the upcoming title have been announced. King Olly has commandeered Peach’s Castle in an attempt to fold up the world. Binding the castle, massive streamers are sprawled across the land and it’s up to Mario to unravel them at their source.

The new trailer has introduced some new unlikely companions, including Bobby, a Bob-Omb suffering from amnesia, and Olivia, King Olly’s kind-hearted sister. The trailer also went in-depth on how the new ring-based battles will work. Mario can rotate rings and slide columns to try and bunch up enemies before the timer runs out. You’ll then have to decide which of your weapons to use to make the biggest impact.

Taking on the big bad bosses of the world, aptly named ‘The Legion of Stationery’, takes a slightly different approach. This time you’ll have to move the rings and columns to build a path for Mario to reach the boss in the centre. Having trouble? Depending on how many Toads you have rescued during your adventure may affect how much support they’ll provide in-battle. Always worth helping a little guy in need!

Check out the new trailer below, as well as a press release and gallery after the break!

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Revealed

A very unlikely crossover (unless you’ve been following certain rumours) was revealed earlier at Ubisoft’s E3 Conference, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The new tactical adventure, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle has been officially announced, and will be releasing in the West on the 29th August 2017 (that’s a day before my 22nd birthday y’all).

The game, which has been in the works for three years, follows a new adventure where Rabbids have somehow found a way to invade a new universe, specifically the Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately some of the Rabbids have gone bad (or rabid), so it is up to Mario to team up with other Rabbids to put an end to this chaos.

The game is primarily a turn based tactical RPG (similar to Fire Emblem), but will also include some exploration segments too. Each characters will have their own abilities, there are support abilities too, and you also have the ability to destroy cover if you are a bit of a daredevil! Finally, it was also announced by the man himself that Grant Kirkhope was involved with creating the music for the title.

Check out the announcement videos, screenshots, and art after the break!

REVIEW – Bravely Second: End Layer

So, you’ve returned. Do you still remember? I welcome you back to Luxendarc, two years following the events of the Great Chasm, when the crystals fell into a deep darkness. The world has been at peace and the war between the Crystal Orthodoxy and the Duchy of Eternia has since been ceased. Though that was then. And now, a new tale must be told…

Bravely Second: End Layer follows the long journey of Yew Geneolgia, a young knight from Gathelatio, where he will loose close friends but create new faithful companions, on his quest to save her holiness, Agnès Oblige, and discover the deep, dark secret of the Kaiser Oblivion.

Will Bravely Second: End Layer take home the gravy, or is it as weak as an Appling? Find out in our review after the break!
