REVIEW – Super Mario Maker

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Mario. For thirty years, the Italian plumber has been abusing turtles, eating mushrooms, and saving princesses. Most franchise anniversaries will have remasters of old greats however Nintendo are doing something different for Mario’s anniversary, they are giving fans the chance to create their dream Mario courses with Super Mario Maker for Wii U.

So, is Super Mario Maker the number one game for all Nintendo fans, or is it a game to avoid? Find out in our review, after the break!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!

WIN – Super Mario Maker Super Amiibo Bundle

This competition is now closed (and I’m now 20!) Will pick a winner after going through the entries making sure all are valid. If you did not record your entry on the widget (there is one exception as the member emailed me about it) then you will not involved in the giveaway.

UPDATE – It seems that some people are getting a bit confused with their entries. For your entry to be valid, you MUST make a comment on this article with your favourite Mario level AND provide a link to that comment on the widget embedded, doing just one of those things will not make your entry valid.

Bumping – Just over two weeks before this giveaway closes, get your entries in soon!

It’s been just over a month since this year’s E3 concluded, and though it was a bit hit and miss for a lot of people, there were still some amazing games on show. One game in particular that we are incredibly excited about is Super Mario Maker, especially with the announcement of that spiffing Mario 30th Anniversary Amiibo. To celebrate our excitement, as well as the 30th Anniversary of Mario, we are happy to announce that our next competition could nab a luck reader a copy of the Super Mario Maker Amiibo Bundle.

Find out more details after the break!

TOURNEY – Summer Splat-athon Supreme

What’s this? Yet another tournament? It seems like August is the month of tourneys, and what’s better than to compete in style and ink with Splatoon. A couple months ago, I announced this tournament (which isn’t technically a NintyBuzz one) but now I can officially announce when the tourney will start.

I plan to start the tournament on Wednesday, 12th August 2015. Please note that this is the start date, different battles may take place on different days up to the end of August. I can also announce that the winner of the tournament will also receive a free Amiibo of their choice as well as boasting rights. The deadline to register for the tournament will be Friday 7th August 2015 at 6pm BST.

Please click here to sign up for the tournament (you will need to create a free account at 3DS Buzz first).

Happy Splatting!

REVIEW – Yoshi’s Woolly World

A faithful yet mistreated steed, an eggcelent smasher, and a plumber’s babysitter, T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas, or more commonly known as Yoshi, has had many jobs throughout his history and now he is making a warm and fuzzy return on the Wii U after his latest outing on 3DS, though this time he has ditched his babysitting duties to save Craft Island and its inhabitants from unraveling from existence in Yoshi’s Woolly World!

Is Woolly World better than that cuddly bear you still cuddle, or more embarrassing than the christmas jumper your gran got you last year… in June? Find out in our review after the break!
