The latest entry in the Layton series launched on iOS and Android worldwide last month, as well as the 3DS in Japan. Europe finally has a date for the 3DS version in Europe: 6th October 2017! Unfortunately there’s no date set for North America quite yet, but it should be safe to assume one will be announced soon.

Throwback Review – Super Mario 3D Land

I’m back… again! Apologies for my absence, I was assigned to a job to do over the past week (someone’s been busy). Anywho, Our recent review of the charming Miitopia the other week marked NintyBuzz’s 50th review since we went live just over three years ago.

As a little celebration of sorts, I decided to search for my first ever game review I wrote (which was documented), and what I found was a review for Super Mario 3D Land which I wrote for a double page spread as part of my Media Studies assignment at college. I later submitted it as part of the YouView feature back in the 3DS Buzz days.

This review is completely unedited (aside from the odd typo correction and addition of screenshots) from when I was about 15 or 16. Please note that these were my views at the time (in 2012), but the game has still pretty much lived up to them up to this very day.

Check it out after the break!

Only on a Nintendo platform can you have some wacky adventures with Abraham Lincoln the female pop star, and a cool cat called Bob Ross. Yup you heard me, Bob Ross is one cool cat in Miitopia, a brand new RPG for the Nintendo 3DS!

Is Miitopia as cool as the cool Bob Ross, or will it do Bob Ross shame? Find out more in our review, after the break… featuring a couple members of NintyBuzz Forums and even more Bob Ross!

Those cute little Pikmin are now going even more pocket sized in their first ever portable outing in Hey! Pikmin. CapitanOlimar crash lands the S.S Dolphin 2 on yet another desolate world, full of treasures, dangers, and many trustworthy Pikmin companions.

Will Hey! Pikmin be a treasure for 3DS, or is it not even fit for a Bulborb’s lunch? Find out in our review, after the break!

REVIEW – Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

A few years ago, Fire Emblem raised itself from the grave with Fire Emblem Awakening. Since then, the series seemed to have revitalised. Not only did we receive three versions of Fire Emblem Fates for the 3DS and Fire Emblem Heroes for mobile devices, but there are also three more games of the tactical role-playing game set to release by the end of 2018. One of these games include the newly release Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Fire Emblem Echoes follows the intertwining adventures of Alm and Celicaduring the war between two factions of Valentia. Does Fire Emblem Echoes’ release have decent strategy, or will it fall just like many knights of Valentia? Find out in our review, after the break!
