I wonder why Kid Icaris isn't going to be a release game, since it was the main feature of Nintendos 3ds presentation at E3. Hopefuly it is just an oversight and it will be a release game as well :)

I'd say that is odd indeed. I would go for Zelda, Professor Layton, and Street Fighter IV. Pilot Wings would be a maybe.

I will be getting Zelda and by the time I complete that then more games such as kid Icaris (if it isn't an oversight) will be out :)

Kid Icarus is not a launch title because players were having problems with aiming, for instance, and some players had difficulty aiming and moving simultaneously.

For some reason, this seems a bit disappointing as Nintendo was promising a huge lineup of launch games.

Yh but this is the Launch 'Launch' if you get me.

These are the games that will be out straight away, and its pretty good. Zelda at launch? Yes please! Super Street Fighter IV 3D? Yes Please!

We will be getting Kid Icarus: Uprising and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D not long after in the same year!

We will also get more games towards the end of 2011 and maybe beginning or 2012 including

    • Chocobo Racing 3D from Square Enix
    • Star Fox 64 3D from Nintendo
    • Animal Crossing from Nintendo
    • Dead or Alive: Dimensions from Tecmo Koei
    • Paper Mario (working title) from Nintendo
    • Mario Kart (working title) from Nintendo
    • Resident Evil: Revelations from Capcom
    • Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D from Capcom

Also, this is the Japanese launch line-up, who knows? Maybe more games will be made by march, or games might be finished earlier then expected.

The launch line-up has been confirmed as fake. It was made by Softpedia, which initially I thought to as strange, seems I was right in thinking so.

The information isn't completely wrong. Those 10 games are simply confirmed to come out during Spring 2011, which is around when the 3DS will be released. In the end, that means some of them will probably be launch titles, and some will probably be released a couple months after the systems release.

Wait you mean there could be more release games That would be great. I was having doubts but if this list is fake then we can enjoy more games at launch (I just noticed your post after I already posted my last comment so Ignore it) :)

Not the awesome line-up I was expecting. Although it is nice to see Zelda, PilotWings and Nintendogs right from the get-go. I presume this is the launch line-up for Japan in which case I hope other regions also get at least Zelda at launch too.

I expect this launch lineup to be flawed, and changes will be made for each different region. One reason is that Level 5 still has to release one more DS game- PL: Specter's Flute on the DS. Another reason is that there are no mario games in the lineup, which strikes me as odd.

THE LINE UP IS FAKE! I SAID IT IS FAKE! D:

Softpedia took it from a list of games from Gamespot and then misinterpreted the article. These games are from the launch window, which means more games could be added to the list and many of the games might not come out straight away.

Starfox 64 should be a launch title as well as some Mario Games.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo won't release both of their remakes at launch.

Exactly, who knows what they would do?

Also, who said Ocarina Of Time is coming out at launch? Thats a fake list my friends, Ocarina of time is not even made yet I doubt to 100% and polished, but Star Fox was already playable at E3 back in July and its a more likely launch title.

Why would Nintendo release the Tour De force (Zelda) straight away.

Plus Mario Kart is a remake and its always a launch title.

The list was just confirmed to be fake. The games on it are in the launch window, but it's unknown which of them will be there on day 1.

And Qaiz, Mario Kart is not a remake and I don't remember the last time it was a launch title. From what I know, it always came along a little later in a system's lifespan as a super-polished game.

Yeah, Mario Kart usually isn't a launch title, and its not a remake. Its more like a sequel. I'm just saying that they probably won't release both of their remakes at launch; they will release one or the other.

I hope they have Paper Mario as a launch title; Paper Mario is one of my favorite game series, so I'm hoping to get it as soon as I get the 3DS. I'm hoping they release at least 15 games, or 20, at launch!

They'll definitely will release 15-20 titles at launch; they just might not all be AAA titles.

correct me if im wrong but, didnt nintendo say that the cartriges would be 2gb or something like that? Personly id like to see a game like mariokart with more memory so we could have more characters etc. etc. I think they said the memory would get bigger in the life span

@Someone- Triple A titles, or quality games.

@homer fanboy- Yes, game cards will be 2GB at launch, but they can expand during the 3DS' lifecycle.
