What's been the highlight for you?

I'm still digesting it all. The Metal Gear Solid video released to the public today blew me away.

That Metal Gear Solid video was spectacular. Most exciting news was probably just the mention of some new games like Mega Man Legends and videos and screens of games I'm already interested in. I don't know if there's anything in particular, it was all cool. We finally have a release date! All of the 3DS features such as Tag Mode were pretty cool as well as the charging dock (faster downloads), and the 3D Mii pictures along with those nifty cards.

Noone said its only going to be £200 lol

Its ¥25,000, thats all we know.

It converts to around $298 but that is not confirmed. Thats just converted, you have to keep in mind about VAT, Shipping etc.

Plus its not out in Europe and US until March, it could drop in price by then, also keep in mind Europe always pay more then US

The silver slider looks 10x better IMO, makes it more stylish and more cool

I kind of think the new Slider sticks out like a sore thumb, but it is bigger and it seems more comfortable than the old one.

Here. If you look closely, you can notice that the slide pad is a bit bigger than the old one.

The slide pad isn't bigger, its smaller so the rim around it looks bigger.

If you look closely, the rim around the slide pad is larger, so the slide pad couldn't be smaller.

How long can you argue with each other? Whatever if it 2 mm larger or smaller. Leave the slide pad alone

will the new slide pad be more or less comfortable than the original plus the highlight for me is probably the news of the augmented reality like the weird cards

Huh, the new slide pad seemed bigger to me, but I guess its not. I have actually gotten kind of used to the gray slide pad. I also wonder how the AR cards will work and what that shooting mechanism is for!

I already said it in the news article, but I'll say it here too, the size of the slide pad has not changed (well its slightly thicker) its the recess around it that has been enlarged. The easiest way to check the size is to compare the slide pad with the d-pad. You can see the recess is larger by looking at the gaps between it and the screen, and it and the edge of the system.

Yes we know the rim around the slide pad is larger, thats why its more loser to the d-pad and screen but the slide-pad has shrunk a bit due to the fact it has more of a concave look and is more thicker.

Plus who cares? Lets get off this topic, its a slide pad and its going to rock no matter the size.

The slide pad was so well-received at E3, it would be ridiculous for Nintendo to change anything about it that they're not confident will be a GOOD change.

Ahem. Yes, let's end this now. I'd say the most exciting news to come out of the event was the details on StreetPass (and also, it's great to finally know what to call it!).

I still feel like this Streetpass is a cheap rip off of 3G, I always knew that 3G would never come to the 3DS and its neat and cool how the 3DS's speak to each other, but 3G would of been less confusing and less Orwellian.

With the price the 3DS is already expected to be, I would shudder at the thought of how much the price would go up with 3G....... StreetPass is a good alternative to 3G, especially in Japan, but I wonder how many people I'll StreetPass here in North America.

Forget America, many people use handhelds in the US, what about here in the UK?

Japan is awesome for street pass since most people travel on trains and what not
