Here are the first few steps to starting Grogg Island Dizzy.

Use the arrow keys to head left until you reach the sea. Take a dip and use the action button (enter) to pick up the stick. Don’t hang around though, eggs can’t breathe underwater. Return to the right. Pick up the white netting when you get back to the first screen. Carry on until you reach a rocky cliff. Press the action button to bring up the menu. Select your stick to wedge it into the wall. Stand on the edge of the grey rock below your stick and press up to jump.

Continue jumping up the cliff face and follow the road to the left. When press action to enter the Lighthouse Kepper’s house. Jump up his ladder (yes, Dizzy climbs up ladders by jumping up them). Grab his fishing rod, walk to the right and fall back to the ground floor. Exit the house and carry on to the right until you meet a hungry bear!

The bear needs something to eat, so give him the fishing rod to catch something. Once he’s out of the way, walk towards the deadly spider. Now might be a good time to save your game. Press Escape on your keyboard and select save. You only have 3 lives so you will probably want to save your progress regularly. Time it right and walk under the spider.

Enter the shoppe and collect the red crate. Exit and carry on to the right. When you reach the pirate Lumbago, you’ll discover he has a bad back. It might help if he had somewhere comfortable to lie. Have you got anything he could use to make a bed with? Maybe involving those two trees he’s standing next to.

Well you’ve started your adventure. You’re pretty much on your own from here on. I’ll give you a few last clues, and then if you get stuck, you can always ask for help in the forums.

Where would an alcoholic pirate be trying to get into?

Yes you do have to ride the shark.

You need another platform before you can reach the floating green barrel. Are you carrying anything that could help?

It was actually made by a friend of mine. I played through it and loved it. I thought it deserved a bigger audience so this website seemed like a good way to bring the game to more people. I thought it would be a good way to thank regular visitors here too. I'm honestly really grateful to all the people that keep coming back here to check for updates.

How far have you got on the game?

It's an .exe files which I think means it won't work on macs but I'm no expert in that area. Sorry.

Oh, that's too bad. :( Will it work if I use Parallels or BootCamp and download it onto the Windows version?

I'm no expert in the field, either, but that should work. Parallels and BootCamp run Windows on your Mac, so its logical that the Windows you then see will be able to run any Windows program.

Is that the only way to play it on a Mac? My dad has every, and I mean every, application blocked except for ones he thinks I absolutely need, so I can't use them. Supper, did it work?

I asked my dad, and he won't let me download Parallels. :( What do you mean by "blocking apps"? Will it not let you download the apps, or will it not let you use them?

My dad disabled them so whenever I try open, say, iPhoto, it says, "You do not have permission to use the application iPhoto."

Ah, I see. I don't think you can run Parallels, then. I think you still can run BootCamp and get Grogg Island Dizzy from that, though.

Give the pirate the netting so he can use it as a hammock. Don't give up Melvin!

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in such a while, but I'm 14. You can download this at the main site; you should have gotten a password to input on the page with Grogg Island Dizzy.

    P.S. Happy birthday! I noticed you are 12! :D
