Here are the first few steps to starting Grogg Island Dizzy. Use the arrow keys to head left until you reach the sea. Take a dip and use the action button (enter) to pick up the stick. Don’t hang around though, eggs can’t breathe underwater. Return to the right. Pick up the white netting when you get back to the first screen. Carry on until you reach a rocky cliff. Press the action button to bring up the menu. Select your stick to wedge it into the wall. Stand on the edge of the grey rock below your stick and press up to jump. View attachment 11 Continue jumping up the cliff face and follow the road to the left. When press action to enter the Lighthouse Kepper’s house. Jump up his ladder (yes, Dizzy climbs up ladders by jumping up them). Grab his fishing rod, walk to the right and fall back to the ground floor. Exit the house and carry on to the right until you meet a hungry bear! View attachment 12 The bear needs something to eat, so give him the fishing rod to catch something. Once he’s out of the way, walk towards the deadly spider. Now might be a good time to save your game. Press Escape on your keyboard and select save. You only have 3 lives so you will probably want to save your progress regularly. Time it right and walk under the spider. View attachment 13 Enter the shoppe and collect the red crate. Exit and carry on to the right. When you reach the pirate Lumbago, you’ll discover he has a bad back. It might help if he had somewhere comfortable to lie. Have you got anything he could use to make a bed with? Maybe involving those two trees he’s standing next to. View attachment 14 Well you’ve started your adventure.
