  1. Yes to get more money since it will sell well

    33.3%
  2. No nintendo will find another way to get this lost money

    55.6%
  3. They will but it will not be until a couple of weeks after it is released that the price will go up

    11.1%

I don't think waning demand for the Wii will affect the price of the 3DS. At the end of the Gamecube's time the DS wasn't priced higher because of that.

They will probably find a way to get money, since they know the 3DS would lose a LOT more customers by raising the price!

In addition, they have also "raised" the price already due to the reactions at E3, so another price-markup is unlikely.

Nintendo hasn't been losing money with the Wii though. They make a profit on every sale. I'm guessing the decline is just due to market saturation. Everybody who wants a Wii has one already.

I agree with Dan Jayden people who already have a wii( which is about half of the people out their) dont want to buy a new one. Soooooo the money nintendo gets is going down about 50%

The Wii sales are down because just about everyone already has one. Plus most people are waiting for the 3DS, thus opting out on the Wii.

They also aren't releasing anything "new" for it like the PS3 (Move+3D) and Xbox (Kinect). This is another reason why I think next year they will unveil the Wii's successor or a revision.

They won't raise 3DS price based upon wii sales. They make a profit on every Wii sold, have done since launch. They're are still making large sums of money, just not as large as back in 2006-2008 in Wii/DS peak. The price of 3DS will not be affected by Wii. What could affect the 3DS price of America/Europe is the exchange rate.

He means the scale for the picture isn't small enough; notice how, although the difference is 60.6 million, they are at the same height on the graph, so they're off the chart!

Well, the PSP has sold more than the PS3 and Xbox 360, but the bar is shorter.

Well I'm just the messenger, trying to add perspective to it. Does it bother you that the chart is off? As long as you know the figures, thats what matters. Plus there must be a explanation, but I cba looking for it. I didn't create the darn thing

Well, for home consoles each bar level represents 9 million sales, and for handhelds each one represents 15 million in sales.

no that chart isnt of AT ALL if you think of it as 2 graphs. the hand helds, and the consoles. like Supper said for home consoles each bar level represents 9 million sales, and for handhelds each one represents 15 million in sales.
