As great as SM64DS is, I'm gonna have to go with Yoshi's Island DS on this one. Perhaps I'm a little biased as a Yoshi fan, but it's the one game I always keep on coming back to for some reason. I've always got this urge to get just one more perfect score on a level before shelving the game; I've already gone through the first world that way. :p I honestly think YIDS is more fun than NSMB, btw, which is apparently the gold standard for DS platformers.

Yoshi Touch and Go is a totally different game. It's a puzzler whereas Yoshi's Island is a full-on platformer. I highly recommend it, but it's getting really hard to find these days. eBay's your best bet for finding it; for such an awesome game, it's surprisingly rare.

^You live in Japan? Cool! Is it ok if I put my favorite GBA/GBC game here? Unfortunately I never bought a DS, and I was thinking of getting one until I heard of the 3DS. It just makes me more impatient for it! I am thinking of getting an old DS Lite though. Should I get one to pass the time?

Yeah. Good thing I don't have a DSI. The game is region-locked.

Sadly, the 3DS might be region-locked. I hope it isn't! How is the game? How has it changed from HG/SS? Sorry to be so curious.

It changed so much from Gen. IV. All the sprites are animated, and the graphics are amazing for a Pokemon game.

That's great! Do you think I should pick it up alongside the 3DS when it releases overseas, or should I just wait for the 3DS-exclusive version of the games?

I'm going to go with Metroid Prime: Hunters. I know I like Metroid, but Hunters has a wide variety of levels on multiplayer, including the final level where the boss is, and there are different people you can play as. Sure, the single player mode is bad, and the game is pretty much worthless if you don't have WiFi, but it has the best multiplayer out of any game I've played so far. The control scheme is also the best control scheme for an FPS that I know of for a portable, too. Supper, if you don't want the Paper Mario game, then I think you should try it out, but it all depends on how much you want it, and how much you want other games, too.

Once I get the 3DS (or DS Lite) I'll be able to probably get 3 games for it, so Pokemon will probably be one of those games. I could also pick up Metroid Prime Hunters, too, but only if its Wifi is compatible on the 3DS.
