UPDATE – You have just over 24 hours to submit your nominations!
Another year is nearly over, and even though Nintendo has been a bit quieter with big releases compared to previous years, there were still a fair amount of games that deserve recognition.
The NintyBuzz Awards are back for 2016, and they are bigger than ever. There are now four new categories to vote in, and by nominating, you have a chance to win $50/£50 to spend on the Nintendo eShop!

Can you believe it, Summer is nearly over. We still can’t get over The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from E3, but pretty soon we will have to return to normality, back to school, back to baggy trousers, that sort of thing. Luckily, we have one very last-minute organised trick up our sleeve to end Summer with a bang!
To top off the peak of Summer, we’d thought to host a new Splatoon tournament, the NintyBuzz Summer Splat-a-thon Supreme! We have actually already hosted this tournament before, back on 3DS Buzz Forums, before the big merge, last year. In the end, the member Pepe claimed victory and is chuffed with his Lucina Amiibo to top off his Fire Emblem series.
Check out all the info for this year after the break!
COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED!

E3 is just a week away. Be prepared for big announcements, new gameplay, and more. Even though Nintendo isn’t holding a conventional conference or Digital Event, we are still excited none-the-less! While we wait patiently over the next seven days, we thought it would be pretty fun to get our readers to share their fondest E3 memories… with some prizes!
Yes, we have three Amiibo figures up for grabs for you lucky lot, and all you have to do is tell us your fondest memories from E3. From now until the 13th June 2016, just post your memory on this thread on the forums, and you’ve got yourself a chance to win one of three Amiibo figures of your choice. We will also publish a selection of memories in a future article. Don’t have an account? You can create one for free here!

The year is nearly over and there have been loads of brilliant Nintendo games this year, but which one was the most beautiful? Which one had the best story? Which was the best Wii U game?
It’s time to show the great games of this year some recognition in the brand spanking new NintyBuzz Awards 2015! It isn’t too serious but just something fun to finish off the year. All you need to do is to nominate a Nintendo game for each category, and as this is the first NintyBuzz Awards, we are also counting games which have been out since the Summer of 2014!
There’s also an incentive for you wonderful lot to vote. There is an Amiibo up for grabs for three lucky voters, and the more categories you vote for, the better your chances are to win, there’s even a chance to increase your chances further by sharing the fun!
Check out the categories after the break!
We have a new spooky competition for this month of October, and with the release of Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer last week, this one is sure to be a hoot! This month, there will be three winners as we have three packs of Amiibo cards and an Amiibo figure to give away.
Find out how to enter and the rules after the break!
This competition is now closed (and I’m now 20!) Will pick a winner after going through the entries making sure all are valid. If you did not record your entry on the widget (there is one exception as the member emailed me about it) then you will not involved in the giveaway.
UPDATE – It seems that some people are getting a bit confused with their entries. For your entry to be valid, you MUST make a comment on this article with your favourite Mario level AND provide a link to that comment on the widget embedded, doing just one of those things will not make your entry valid.
Bumping – Just over two weeks before this giveaway closes, get your entries in soon!
It’s been just over a month since this year’s E3 concluded, and though it was a bit hit and miss for a lot of people, there were still some amazing games on show. One game in particular that we are incredibly excited about is Super Mario Maker, especially with the announcement of that spiffing Mario 30th Anniversary Amiibo. To celebrate our excitement, as well as the 30th Anniversary of Mario, we are happy to announce that our next competition could nab a luck reader a copy of the Super Mario Maker Amiibo Bundle.

Greetings cephalopods and humanoid creatures of the world! As you may or may not know (you better know bub) we’ve been hosting the August Splat-athon supreme over at 3DS Buzz. Well, we’ve just had an exhilarating quarter-finals, even Judd was impressed, and not even Cat-fish Supreme Wednesdays impress him any more!
The quarter finals were played by two teams, as we had an odd number of squid kids, one team had four players whereas the other had three. The teams battled against each other in two rounds of Turf Wars, the players with the lowest scores were then shooed away from the tourney with a large bottle of Seaman’s Soy Sauce! Two players from the team of four and one from the team of three were eliminated.
The results are now in and from Team Splat, Pepe and Lis4Real25 will be going to the semi-finals, and from Team Toon, Cadjr2003 and Homer Fanboy will also be progressing forwards!
Congratulations to those who played the best and see you in the Semis, and until next time…
