Nintendo just announced, via a press release, the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be receiving some DLC later in the year. There are currently two packs planned, one in the Summer, and the other in the Winter, which aims to expand the Zelda experience even further.
Nintendo went on to reveal a few bits about each pack. The first pack will include a new challenge called the cave of trials, as well as a new hard mode, and a new map feature. The second pack will include a new story, a new dungeon, and brand new challenges in the world. An ‘expansion pass’ will be released on the 3rd March 2017 (the game’s release) which will also add three new treasure chests in the Great Plateu which includes exclusive items, clothing, and gear. The expansion pass will be released for £17.99/$20.99.
Check out the press release, along with a message from producer Eiji Aonuma, after the break!
My, my, my, what an unfortunate couple weeks it has been. First the Baudelaires have been chased down by an untalented fiend, a narcissistic Tango Orange addict is running the United States, and I may have quite possibly failed my Geography exam. But let us move on from the tragic, and onto the triumphant. Yes, it is finally time to announce the results of the NintyBuzz Awards 2016!
The community has voted, and the results are in. Find out which games have won NintyBuzz Awards… after the break!
Hope you all had a safe but fun New Years celebration. The voting for the NintyBuzz Awards 2016 are currently open, and close this Friday at 6pm GMT (6th January 2017). Around a week after the voting phase closes, I will collate and announce the results, as well as announce the winner of the giveaway we held during the Nomination period. Click here to cast your vote now!
As promised, we will be holding some NintyBuzz Game Days on the lead up to Christmas Day. These will take place on Friday 23rd December and Saturday 24th December 2016 from around 4pm GMT (10am Central), with a possibility of a later session on Christmas Eve too.
There will be a range of different games that we will be playing, these include Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Runbow, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Animal Crossing New Leaf, and more! Make sure to add me on Nintendo Network to join in the fun, my NNID is LJFletcher. I also plan on hosting some small competitions so you can win Melons to use in Yoshi’s Trading Post!

One of the most anticipated games of next year, for those who are fans of the good old 3D Collect-a-thons, is quickly approaching its release. Playtonic have finally announced the release date for Yooka-Laylee. Those who have pledged, pre-ordered, or who are considering purchasing the title, can expect its debut for PC, Mac, XBOX One, and PS4 on the 11th April 2017.
You may have noticed that the Nintendo Wii U was omitted from the above list. Unfortunately, due to ‘technical issues’ that have arisen, Yooka-Laylee has been cancelled for Wii U. Apparently, these issues have been present for several months, but Playtonic was unable to find a workaround. Though this may come to a disappointment to many fans, Playtonic also announced that Yooka-Laylee will instead come out on the Nintendo Switch at a later date, so it isn’t all doom and gloom.
Along with these release date announcements, Playtonic have also released two new trailers for Yooka-Laylee. One shows off a brand new world called Capital Cashino. The second video goes more in-depth with the first world of the game, Tribalstack Tropics. Be sure to check them out after the break!
After a month absence of gruelling away at university and other personal troubles, I’m back. Rather than give you all some paper thin excuses, I have a new review. While we have the constant debate on which spelling of colour is correct, Mario is back in an anything but flat adventure for Nintendo Wii U, Paper Mario: Color Splash!
Will Color Splash be a tear-rific new adventure for our two dimensional pal, or is it to be crumpled up and thrown into the nearest waste basket? Also, how many lame-nated puns could I possibly make… alright, I’ll stop now!
