Nintendo To Bring Hyrule Warriors Details Direct On Monday

Earlier today, Nintendo announced that they are airingĀ their first Western Nintendo Direct since E3 this coming Monday (4th August 2014), though it won’t be a general Direct we usually see. This Nintendo Direct will be covering loads of details on the upcoming Hyrule Warriors!

The Direct will be airing 8pm PT, just in time for bedtime for the Americans, and at 4am BST, kinda a rubbish time for us British and Europeans though Nintendo promise that the whole Direct will be published on YouTube by 7am BST!

Catch the live presentation from the Nintendo Direct Website here!

What are you hoping to be announced? More characters? More items? Tell us all in the comments below!

Sheik And His (Or Her) Harp Get A New Character Trailer for Hyrule Warriors

Sheik is a very mysterious being.Ā He may seem like the last member of the Sheikah race, but maybe he isn’t telling us everything… Just maybe he really isn’t Sheik… or a man! A while ago it was announced that Sheik would be appearing as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors, and today we get to see him in some action against the undead… isn’t that cute, those Stalchildren are wearing little helmets, not that it would help to defend them from the power of Sheik’s harp!

Seems like Sheik is equipped with some crazy ass weaponry. A sword and a harp may not seem like much, but if you know how to put them to use they could aid you to take the world by force. Of course Sheik is skilled with swordplay, though it is music in which he thrives. If you listen carefully, you can hear mini melodies that Sheik plays on his harp, each one releasing a devastating power against his foes. The Bolero of Fire will cause fiery brimstone to rain down, the Serenade of Water will summon ferocious whirlpools for a watery grave, and the Nocturne of Shadow will create a shadowy vortex to bring a hell that even Stalchildren fear! There are still plenty of other songs to play at your disposal though…

Hyrule Warriors is set to be released on August 14th in Japan, September 19th in Europe, September 20th in Australia and September 26th in North America!

Note – I apologise, but unfortunately Chris has fallen ill so the Hyrule Warriors Detailed Blowout I promised yesterday will be delayed.

Hyrule Warriors Trailer Blowout

Last week was a big week for Hyrule Warriors as there was so muchĀ juicy info released on this title. Unfortunately due to last week being hell, I couldn’t cover everything. However, I have decided to make one big post showcasing all the trailers that were released last week, including that awesome 4 minute one. Then either later today or tomorrow, our writer, Chris, will be doing another blowout article detailing pretty much everything that has been announced last week for Hyrule Warriors! So sit back, relax, and get stuck into these fab trailers.

First, let us check out the brute force of Darunia in his Character trailer!

The dead may rise to bring down the living, but Darunia can give them rest so they can Rest in Piece… or would that be pieces? With immense strength and the almighty Megaton Hammer, nothing can get in his way.

Now it’s Ruto’s turn!

Though Princess Ruto may be sweet, that doesn’t mean she can’t dragĀ unsuspecting enemies into a watery grave… a second grave for some! Take complete power of water as you create whirlpools on land to drown your foes, encase yourself with unique ball to toss your enemies about, or put your delicate but sharp fins to use in hand to hand combat. Plus, it seems to might have some friendly Gorons to aide you in battle… like you would need it with remarkableĀ power.

Finally, here is the almighty 4 minute feature trailer! Also, it is in English!

This trailer is definitely nothing to sneeze at. It does a good job to showcase everything which has been announced thus far… and some which haven’t! It seems that the Great Fairy will become quite a useful character within the game… perhaps we could see her as a playable character? Also we get to see a glimpse of the multiplayer, one person will play on the big screen using the Wii U Pro Controller (or perhaps other controllers too) while the second player plays on the GamePad’s screen offering completely un-intrusive local multiplayer action.

What do you think of the look of Hyrule Warriors so far? Stay tuned for Chris’ article later today or tomorrow!

Hyrule Warriors is set to be released on August 14th in Japan, September 19th in Europe, September 20th in Australia and September 26th in North America!

Now Link’s Playing With Power In New Hyrule Warriors Trailer

If the announcement of Darunia, Ruto and Sheik making an appearance in Hyrule Warriros wasn’t exciting enough for you, Koei-Tecmo have uploaded a new trailer focusing on a piece of Link’s arsenal, the almighty Power Glove!

This powerful item allows you to unleash the full potential of a true hero. Smash into the ground to emit a devastating shockwave, carry hefty objects [including the most obese enemies] with great ease to smash into your enemies, you can even create some sort of electrical pulse to fry those pesky moblins! Combine this special attire with the Ball and Chain, you will truly be an unstoppable force which is guaranteed to make your foes piddle themselves in fear!

A Princess In Disguise And Two Sages Join Hyrule Warriors

Play the Serenade of Water and you’ll teleport to the temple Ruto protects, play the Bolero of Fire and it’s the temple Darunia defends thatĀ you seek, who teaches you these melodies, it’s none other than Sheik who will enlighten you. Today it was confirmed, by Famitsu, that these three characters from Ocarina of Time, Darunia, Princess Ruto and Sheik, have been added to the character roster of Hyrule Warriors. Those of you who have played the Zelda games, specifically Ocarina of Time, would have heard of these deities and Sheik.

Not only that, but Famitsu also has some news regarding new weapons for Lana and Impa, as well as a return of the Golden Skulltulas from Ocarina of Time… all of which will be revealed in this weeks issue of Famitsu.

What do you think of this news? What purpose do you think the Golden Skulltulas will serve? Who else do you want to make an appearance on Hyrule Warriors?

The Wind Waker Returns For Ballad Of The Princess In Hyrule Warriors

Good morning folks, and emphasis on the good. A brand new trailer for Hyrule Warriors has just been released andĀ though it focuses on Zelda again, like last month, it also shows off a returning item of the Zelda franchise, The Wind Waker!

The Wind Waker makes a triumphant return, it seems rather suiting as the Zelda game with the same name as this magical and musical item was recently remade for the Wii U. Like in Wind Waker, the item does play melodies, though this time it packs a punch. You can conjure up whirlwinds, slash and dash at great distances and even summon a musical staff to kick the Moblins’ red behinds while listening to Saria’s Song! I believe the area that Zelda is fighting in in this trailer is Skyloft from Skyward Sword, there are many floating islands in the background and you can even see the Bazar tent. Also, a rock cover of the theme to Skyloft is playing in the background.
