Nintendo held their Annual Earnings Announcement earlier today, and along with updates regarding their earnings from the past fiscal year. The Kyoto based company also dropped some mini bombshells regarding the NX, the Wii U successor that has been shrouded in secrecy, and the next release in the Zelda series for Wii U, which always seems to come out next year.
Check out the press release, along with some of my opinions, predictions, and random mumblings after the break!
Mega Evolution. The one new feature that was introduced in the Sixth Generation of Pokémon that proved to be quite a controversial change, since until this point, all Pokémon had a common rule; all evolution lines are no more than 3 total stages of evolution, regardless of branching lines, and that Legendary Pokémon did not evolve at all. Mega Evolution changed all of that. Mega Evolution, according to the Mega Evolution Guru of X/Y;
“Mega Evolution is a transformation of Pokémon that were thought to be unable to evolve any further!”
“There’s a reason why I used the word “transformation” a moment ago. Mega Evolution differs from Evolution because it ends after a certain amount of time. In other words, it’s a temporary Evolution.”
With the Nintendo Direct airing later tomorrow, it has been predicted that we may hear an announcement on when the New Nintendo 3DS will be released in Europe and the US. It turns out this date may have just been leaked.
According to Megauap from NeoGAF, the above is a promotional poster for the New Nintendo 3DS stating that it will be released on the 13th February in the US. It seems that the poster could be legitimate with the Nintendo Direct tomorrow, meaning that, if it is true, retailers may start putting up posters like these directly after the stream. It is also interesting to note that the poster includes the box art for Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Is it possible that these two titles will also be released on the 13th February? Only time will tell!

UK entertainment retailer, HMV, have been a bit up and down over the past couple of years. In 2013, the company entered administration which forced the company to close several stores and make several employees redundant. However, they quickly got back on their feet and were even able to reopen some of their closed stores.
More recently however, in early 2014, they ended their trade-in programme for video games, which meant they could no longer purchase used games from customers. Unfortunately, it seems they may start to phase out gaming altogether in the near future.
Here’s an interesting bit of news, Amazon France allegedly listed a ZombiU sequel for a 2015 release. According to JuexVideo, Amazon France stated that the game would be released on the 17th October 2015 and that it would be set in New York City. If the listing deems to be true, I think New York could be quite an interesting setting for the game… though I personally prefer the British theming!
One thing that doesn’t quite add up however, is the fact that the page lists Bandai Namco as the publisher instead of Ubisoft, who originally developed and published the predecessor. Even though I would absolutely love a sequel to ZombiU, I doubt that the listing is true, or even real seeing how it was removed around the same time the post was made.
If the listing does prove to be true, I just hope ZombiU 2 has a zombified Bono, as I will take a great pleasure to smash in that undead, smug head!
What do you think of the listing? Do you think it is true? Tell us in the comments below!
It’s time for some Non-Nintendo news! Microsoft were the first to get Minecraft onto consoles after the huge success on the PC, and it looks like they want to keep any future plans exclusive to the Xbox One and 360.
According to The Verge Microsoft is paying $2 billion for Mojang AB, but clearly they only want one thing from the comapany, and we all know it isn’t Scrolls.
In just under a month, Smash Bros. will see itself for the first time on a handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS, on Japanese shores. It has been quite a while since we have had any character announcements, the latest one was way back in the middle of July where newcomers, Lucina and Robin, and veteran, Captain Falcon, were announced in a special live trailer. We could soon see a few more character announcements as, recently, some footage containing a few characters not yet seen have been ‘leaked’ onto YouTube. Check out the video after the break!
