Pokémon Presents reveals new titles for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices

June is usually a big month for game announcements, courtesy of the E3 Expo. However, its cancellation this year has resulted in developers and publishers instead choosing to share their game announcements via video conferences and live streams. Last week saw Sony fully unveiling the Playstation 5, whilst Microsoft have made plans to show more of the Xbox Series X in July – however Nintendo, as they like to do best, are keeping fans waiting for news about what the year ahead holds for Switch owners.  While there is still no sign of an imminent Nintendo Direct, the Pokémon company have this afternoon shared some announcements of their own. Although this Pokémon direct was lacking in new console announcements (sorry to those of you anticipating the Pokémon Mini 2) it did have a few intriguing announcements of its own, with three new titles revealed to the public along with further details about games which have already been released. Read on to find out more.

I have been gaming for 30 years, starting mostly with PC Gaming, where I developed a penchant for classic point and click games. Over time I discovered Nintendo, starting with the Game Boy and the Super Mario Land games. Here, my love for Nintendo grew as I discovered many of their other franchises, from Zelda to Pokémon. These days I play a bit of everything but Nintendo and their unique creativity always keeps me coming back for more.

Pokémon GO – Impressions

What to say about Pokémon GO. Well it’s a mobile game, that’s never a good first impression for me since there are barely any mobile games I both play and enjoy, the only ones I can think of are Tiny Tower and Neko Atsume, both of which provide about as much depth as a swimming pool filled to the brim with drowned lifeguards.

Read my impressions on the mobile title after the break!

A lifelong gamer, weaned onto it from a young age through the Gameboy and gradually onto other platforms. I am now a mostly PC gamer but my pet franchise remains to be (somewhat appropriately) Pokémon.

Free-to-Play Denpa Men Announed for Japan

It seems the unique AR RPG for Nintendo 3DS will be seeing a free-to-play instalment, as development company, Genius Sonority, have recently announced Denpa no Ningen RPG FREE! This version will be completely free to download, though it will use micro transactions to obtain certain items. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on the 23rd July; there is currently no word on a western release yet, but I would expect them to announce it soon seeing as the previous three games have all released in North America and Europe.

This isn’t the first free-to-play game. Back in February, Nintendo released their first free-to-play on Nintendo 3DS based off the launch title Sub Diver. Here’s the announcement trailer for Denpa no Ningen RPG FREE, enjoy!

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
