Music plays such a huge part within Nintendo games to make them truly remarkable and memorable. To show our appreciation and love of the music, every Friday we shall share a selection of tracks from various Nintendo games, new and old.

You may be happy to hear that we will be prolonging the New Year’s celebrations a tad longer as we have an awesome selection to ensure your morale is as high as possible to start off your adventures in 2015.

Check out our playlist after the break!

Floro Sapien Caverns ~ Super Paper Mario ~ Nintendo Wii (2007)

Personally, I think Super Paper Mario had some of the best music and levels in the Paper Mario games, and the Floro Sapien Caverns is both a good level and has pretty awesome music to match. You just have that exhilarating, adventurous and exciting mood to the song, makes you really feel like you are THE Flint Cragley, explorer extraordinaire. Rumour has it that when he isn’t out exploring the depths of vast caverns he can be seen socialising on our lovely articles!

Hyrule Field ~ The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ~ N64 (1998)

Want to go on a proper adventure? Then Ocarina’s Hyrule Field theme is the one song to listen to to keep up your morale. I’m sure many of you readers will have their childhood memories return when you listen to this from when you first set foot into the vast and beautiful Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time. Just be sure to be home by dark… you know what they say about children who stay out at night!

Planet Tallon IV ~ Metroid Prime ~ Nintendo GameCube (2002)

Perhaps you want a little adventure in space, then Tallon IV’s theme is the piece of music for you! This is probably one of my favourite song from the history of Nintendo. It just has that fantastic tone of wonderment enticing you to explore every nook and cranny of this beautiful planet… if only you didn’t have to deal with those pesky Space Pirates and stop the planet from imploding on itself. Also, you may notice this is a remix of Brinstar from Metroid on the NES!

Unfortunately we have to close off another wonderful week of music… fret not, however, as we will returning next week for more NintyBeats!

Be sure to post any suggestions you may have in the comments below and enjoy your weekend and have a fantastic New Year! :)

I am a huge Nintendo fan, hence why NintyBuzz exists. I especially love all things Zelda and Metroid. NintyBuzz was started by me back in the Summer of 2014, it started out mainly as a hobby, though the site has gradually grown, and I hope it grows for many years to come!
